Why measure blood pressure?
The blood pressure measurement is a simple and riskless examination method which provides information about the function of heart and circulation. Blood pressure is the pressure in the arteries of the body's circulation. At each heart beat, it varies between a maximum value (systolic value) and a minimum value (diastolic value).
It arises during the tensioning and ejection phase of the heart.
It develops during the relaxation and filling phase of the heart.
